This piece is inspired by a song called "Stranger in Moscow" by Michael Jackson.
I painted it only in black and white to show the dark atmosphere of the streets of a foreign city where rain is a metaphor for depression. It shows how lonely one can feel in crowds full of people. Or as a foreigner in another country and culture. Like you don't belong anywhere. It is a feeling of loneliness and despair. But it's not all bad. It's depressing, but somehow in a good way. I can't describe it. Maybe it's meant to be.
"How does it feel? How does it feel when you're alone, and you're cold inside? Like a stranger in Moscow.”
