Solar

After finishing the painting Flower of the Sun, the sun-sunflower-solar plexus-yellow color connection hit me in the head. And so I thought that I could paint a picture that is a little inspired by the Endearment series, but this time focused on the third chakra and with the sun symbolized by the sunflower itself. I associate the third chakra with inner strength and self-confidence, which is probably why I painted this picture very dynamic. She strikes me as fearless, full of strength, energy and self-belief. I imagine lying on my back in the grass, looking up at the sky, and suddenly a beautiful, powerful flower of the sun comes down to me and radiates a huge amount of energy at me. It fills me with inner strength and self-confidence. And I just soak in and thank her for her gifts.
